18 January 2012 - Guard at Swarovski Albany - Well Done!

Just letting you know that our Security Guard for the end of year 2011 sale was fabulous!

He arrived early, presented himself very well in a suit and tie and was very kind to all the staff.  The Security Guard was also amazing with the customers.  He greeted them politely and thanked them when they left.  Plus he would take a quick wander through the shop now and again to ensure there were no suspicious activities.  The Security Guard also demonstrated fabulous initiative... he went and borrowed some barrier arms from Westfield to control the queue as it was starting to block traffic flow and stretch past the next shop.

I would like to thank you so much for the wonderful help I received from your guard... Your ICON Security Officer was outside the bank when I was hassled by a person who was illegally parked and was involved in a minor car accident with me.  The ICON Security Officer was a great assistance.

25 October 2011 - Outstanding Job by ICON Group Security Guard

I would like to note just how good Dave Allen - the Security Guard provided by ICON Group - has been this year.

Throughout the entire season he has done an outstanding job and has been an absolute credit to the school.  He preforms his foot patrols thoroughly and his tasks diligently and politely.  He is proactive and I have often seen him doing things without being asked to and that fall outside what I imagine is expected of him (picking up litter, putting lost property under cover, directing traffic, helping elderly spectators with their bags or chairs etc).

12 October 2011 - Welcome Help from ICON Group

I want to acknowledge the work done by Kevin Panoho who makes most of the regular checks at the ARCI refugee hostel.

One Saturdy night he came across a number of visitors out of hours behaving inappropriately.  He immediately asked people to identify themselves and he escorted the visitors from the property.

Unfortunately there was resistance from some of the people but Kevin handled the situation professionally and appropriately. This action kept our hostel secure and helped me to identify who had invited these unwanted guests.

Thanks so much to your team for organising your guard (to protect our property while we held a funeral) .  Your guard called me at 11am to say he was in place, and he had a very nice rapport with our family.  We were most grateful, and after the funeral it was a relief to come home knowing that our home was safe.

17 May 2011 - Store Manager

Last night we had a person in store who was making us uncomfortable, so we decided to ring the Static Guard that works within our Business Association.  He was amazing.

He came in natural, and tried on watches and then said, "what have you got in men's earrings?" - Brilliant!

He was absolutley perfect and we were so grateful to have him and then he walked us to our cars!  Thank you - what an asset to Onehunga.

I would like to commend your security guard.  Since I've been here, he has been a great person to work with.  When he attend an incident recently, he remained calm and professional (as he always does).  When a young woman had collapsed, for an hour he kept the situation from escalating until Ambulance staff arrived.  His professionalism during the situation is to be commended.  We are grateful to have guards like this.

ICON Group have been my security response firm for a number of years now and today, for the first time, I had to use their service.  I was thrilled by the fast response time and great communication back to the alarm monitoring company.  It's really nerve wracking sitting in the city waiting to hear what's going on at yoru home.  Thank you so much for the fantastic service!

3 November 2009 - Waikumete Cemetary, West Auckland

Recently the Waikumete Cemetery had a Service in Chapel One for a deceased person who had gang connections.  We were advised that this service would have a large attendance and there was an element of friction within the family and people who were expected to attend.

In view of this we had the Police on stand-by and requested 2 Security Guards from ICON Group.  The guards who attended were dressed appropriately and reported to the office to ascertain their duties.  Throughout their period of attendance they attended to duties requested, had a strong but non-threatening presence and assisted with traffic control.  They had an extremely pleasant and helpful attitude at all times.  The service was completed without any events or problems and I believe having them here made a difference.

The Cemetery Management and staff would like to convey their thanks to these two guards for their assistance and professionalism.  They both did a great job and gave staff a great sence of security knowing they were there.

"I am writing to bring to your attention the excellent work of one of your employees, Mr Paul Smith (ICON Group's South Island Retail Security Manager).  Mr Smith was working as undercover store security when he observed a male acting suspiciously.  He reported this to the police, who subsequently located a large amount of product in the offender's car.
